In Development

When Oscar Wilde was sent to prison in 1895, as a result of a trial that scandalised London, his two sons were cast adrift in a terrifying new world.

Forced to run, to deny their father and hide their identities, they soon lose their mother too. The eldest, Cyril, throws himself into “manly” pursuits to prove he has no taint of his father’s homosexuality. The younger, Vyvyan, struggles to find a place he canfeel safe - until finally Oscar’s friend, Robbie Ross, finds him and restores his faith in his father’s love.

Oscar’s Boys is a tale of magical thinking, loss and redemption.
