A dazzling new comedy about love, sex, happiness and freedom set in the San Francisco art world. When ex-partners Conor and Robbie collide at an exhibition, sparks fly and their new boyfriends are caught in the blast, sparking a series of comic crises involving a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway that leads them to a mysterious hotelier and new beginnings.

Witty characters, outrageous behaviour and a big beating heart make Exhibitionists the perfect post-New Year pick-me-up.

The world premiere opened the brand new Kings Head Theatre in Islington on January 5th 2024 and ran until February 10th. It starred Ashley D. Gayle, Robert Rees, Jake Mitchell-Jones, Rolando Montecalvo and Øystein Lode.

“Bed hopping comedy of manners is a charmer… it is always fun to watch.”

The Guardian

“The gags and double entendres flow like New Year’s champagne.”

The Times

A well-produced, well-written, and well-acted comedy that is a great start to the year and an excellent first play in the new King’s Head Theatre.
— LondonTheatre1
The dialogue is snappy and satisfying, full of sharp humour and stinging one liners
— The Stage
The whole thing is generally very cool...
Its exploration and analysis of the different ways of doing, and modes of being in, relationships is great… It examines these topics without judgment, and in that way will be a breath of fresh air for many people who will recognise themselves (corroborated by a couple of nods around the audience) in a queer story
— London Pub Theatres Magazine
Beneath the old-school comic formula, though, is an exploration of contemporary gay identity and lifestyle. Serious choices are being made by these characters on queerness and the heteronormativity of monogamy and marriage.
